Ready, Vet, Go!
Inspired by my early life as a vet in Scotland, Ready, Vet, Go! is a story of messiness and animals and messiness and smelly things and first love and messiness. Well there’s a lot of messiness, that’s for sure, but that’s what it’s like being a farm vet.

Tomorrow is the story of a female consultant working in a busy Accident and Emergency Unit in Glasgow. As well as saving lives, she falls in love with an a-list film star. Wish-fulfilment? Well yes. But this is fiction after all, so why not? I will be reworking Tomorrow, with a new subplot based around the current conflicts in the NHS. More information soon.

Hector Majones and the Skerry Ferry

This is writing for children. Peter Buckman, my lovely agent, tells me the childrens’ market is even harder to break into than the adult. Still, I always have loved tilting at windmills. Hector Majones is set on a boat, bound for a small island off the West Coast of Scotland. Hector and his sister Ella investigate the mysterious disappearance of “Salty” Ritz, the captain of the Skerry Ferry.
